Personal Narrative

Nana My Nana was the best person ever, and I loved her very much. She would buy us anything we wanted even if our parents said no. She loved purses; she would buy one ever time she saw one. I knew that she wasn’t feeling well, but when I got the phone call from my mom that she was seriously sick, my whole life changed. That day we packed and went to the hospital. We got there around 9:30, and she was still in the regular rooms at the hospital. But later that night she got worse, and they had to move her to the ICU. We stayed in a hotel just a couple blocks away from the hospital, so my mom could be there quickly if she needed to. We got up early the next morning and that was the day that my aunt was coming. It took a while for her to get there because we were in a big city and the traffic was crazy. When she got there she started crying, and it seemed like she would never stop. My Nana’s condition in the ICU had not changed from the day before. My aunt came into the hospital in hurry, a…

Reflection

The 2017 online writing exchange was really fun and helpful. It helped me to become a better writer in many ways. It helped me add more voice to my writing weather it was a funny story or a sad story. When they gave me feedback it really helped me add more confidence in my writing. She wouldn’t really ever give me feedback to the exact point which helped with my confidence because it heled me to add more description in my writing. I felt very comfortable sharing my stories with her because she would always write back and tell me how she had the same personal experiences as me and it made her corrections better and more understandable. I really like the corrections that my mentor gave me because they were negative they where always positive and gave me more confidence in my writing. She would always give my compliment my writing. My mentor kept me in the drivers seat because she wouldn’t give my corrections that she would do herself. She would give me corrections that would help me but t…

My Great Grandpa

My Great Grandpa There are many different influential people in my life. However, the most influential of them all was my great grandpa. My great grandpa loved popcorn. Whenever we visited him, he always made us some. He also kept a bowl of mini chocolate bars on his kitchen table. He inspired; us all the time by going outside of his comfort zone and trying something new and always had a positive outlook on everything. He supported everything I did. My great grandpa had white hair, silver glasses, and a smile that always stretched from ear to ear.Seeing his bright smile always made me happy. He wore plaid shirts of every color and a white shirt underneath that always stuck out the top. He also wore all kinds of watches but he preferred a silver one with a big clock face because it was like he was blind when he tries to look at small thing, his ring with a big red diamond in the middle, and a black shiny belt with a silver buckle that shined like a diamond when the light caught it. My grea…
